About Green Nickel Photo
Green Nickel Photo was founded by Jenna Coughlan in 2012.
When Jenna was 14, her parents bravely allowed her to travel to Moscow with a youth leadership program...in the aftermath of the fall of the Soviet Union! Serendipitously, rather than purchase some Kodak disposable cameras, they sent her with their own 35mm Minolta, lenses and rolls of slide film to document the experience. It was the trip of a lifetime and what facilitated Jenna’s deep connection with photography as an artform and meaningful way to share a story. After earning a degree in communication studies at Vanderbilt University and later trained in digital and film photography, Jenna's work today is a happy culmination of what she loves most about being behind a camera -- the opportunity to create beautiful images with a purpose. Born and raised in the Sonoma Valley, Jenna is lucky to still call this her home where she lives with her husband and four children.
